Overview

Stephanie Acheampong is an associate attorney in WSHB’s San Diego office. She handles a wide range of complex civil litigation, including transportation, professional liability, commercial and business litigation, and construction matters, in both state and federal courts. 

Stephanie is a graduate of California Western School of Law, where she was a recipient of the Dean’s Diversity Scholarship. While in law school, Stephanie earned the Academic Excellence Award for Trial Practice and served as a secretary of the Black Law Student Association as well as a representative of the Student Bar Association. She earned her undergraduate degree in International Studies and Political Science from Pepperdine University.

She started her practice as a Deputy Public Defender with the San Diego Public Defender’s office, where Stephanie was tasked with representing individuals accused of a crime at all stages of a misdemeanor proceeding. From this role, she brings to the firm invaluable trial, litigation, and courtroom experience. Her previous experience also includes working as a law clerk for the in-house legal department of an international business development company.

On a personal note, Stephanie maintains a strong passion for examining systems for potential inequities with the hope of achieving restoration and wellness on an individual, inter-personal, and collective level.
