Michael Schacher is a partner in WSHB’s New York City office, where he brings a wealth of experience and a results-driven approach to the firm’s litigation practice. Michael manages all aspects of litigation, guiding clients from the pre-suit investigation through trial and appeal. His practice encompasses a broad range of civil defense matters, including trucking and transportation litigation, products and premises liability, construction defects, labor law claims, appellate advocacy, and insurance coverage disputes. Michael is well-versed in representing clients in both state and federal courts throughout New York and New Jersey, adeptly navigating the nuances of each jurisdiction to achieve successful outcomes.

Michael has secured numerous victories for his clients, including successful motions for summary judgment in high-exposure cases that significantly reduced or eliminated liability. He is recognized as an effective and tenacious litigator, with deep experience in all phases of litigation, including conducting complex depositions, navigating arbitrations and mediations, preparing cases for trial, and drafting and arguing appeals before appellate courts. Michael’s persuasive drafting and negotiation skills have consistently delivered favorable settlements and verdicts, earning the trust of clients facing challenging and high-stakes disputes.

In addition to his broad civil defense practice, Michael possesses particular expertise in trucking and transportation litigation.
