Overview
Joshua Ang is a senior associate in the Las Vegas office of WSHB, where he handles complex civil litigation in both state and federal courts. He represents businesses in a wide range of commercial disputes, including contract claims, privacy lawsuits, defamation, false light, and various business-related torts. Joshua also advocates for businesses and individuals in litigated tort cases that involve injuries, wrongful deaths, and professional negligence.
In addition, he has extensive experience with employment law matters, including Title VII (Civil Rights Act of 1964) discrimination, retaliation, unpaid wages, and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), all at the federal trial court level. He continues to represent businesses in defending against such actions.
Before joining WSHB, Joshua's practice focused on high-stakes tort litigation in both state and federal courts. He has experience on both sides of litigation, having played significant roles in obtaining high-value verdicts and awards for plaintiff clients—most notably as part of the trial team that secured a $160.5 million verdict in a complex brain injury case in 2017—as well as achieving favorable outcomes for corporate defendant clients in high-exposure cases.
In addition to his work on negligence and contract torts, Joshua has experience with workers' compensation tort immunity, insurance bad faith, diversity jurisdiction, product liability, the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA), the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), wrongful prosecution, and Qui Tam actions.
He has also handled appellate cases in the Nevada Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
