Overview
Chanel DiBlasi is senior counsel in the Orange County, California, office of WSHB. She is a Los Angeles native who most recently lived in San Diego.
Chanel earned her Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where she was named to the Dean's List every semester, served as a member of the National Mock Trial Team, an Intellectual Property Law Fellow, President and Treasurer of the Intellectual Property Law Association, and a Student Ambassador of the International Trademark Association. During her last semester of law school, she clerked for Judge Timothy Taylor of the San Diego Superior Court.
Before joining WSHB, Chanel's practice centered on commercial real estate law. She assisted property owners, brokers, and developers in multiple capacities, including drafting and negotiating retail, industrial, and office leases, as well as addenda. She also drafted and negotiated construction agreements.
With years of property law experience, Ms. DiBlasi has gained significant transactional and litigation experience in a broad range of landlord-tenant, business real estate, and construction law cases. She has enthusiastically represented landlords and developers in protecting their property rights and advancing their goals to develop and expand their properties. Chanel is experienced in property and construction contract law, as well as the dense California regulations governing property rights, with a particular focus on residential and commercial landlord-tenant disputes, leasing, contracts, affordable housing, construction, development, and compliance.
Over the span of Chanel's career, she has dedicated her time to educating her clients on industry practices and California laws, focusing on preventive care by speaking on panels at industry conventions, hosting webinars, and writing informative articles. She takes pride in helping clients with their complex and challenging legal needs and is known for her responsiveness and efficiency. Chanel is committed to maintaining a high level of communication with her clients as she works to accomplish their goals and serve their interests.
Chanel is a 2024 San Diego Business Journal Next Top Business Leader Under 40 finalist and a 2023 San Diego Business Journal Next Top Business Leader Under 40 recipient.
