Overview

Nicole Aldridge-Henry, a partner at WSHB's New York City office, is a fierce and passionate litigator wearing several hats both inside and outside the courtroom. She is an adept and distinguished trial attorney with an established successful career of obtaining defense and directed verdicts throughout New York State Courts. Nicole's approach is client-centered, as she focuses on obtaining the best results for the client, whether at trial, through a favorable settlement at mediation, or by well-tailored motion practice.

Her extensive litigation expertise spans various practice areas, primarily focusing on construction and New York Labor Law litigation, general liability, premises litigation, transportation litigation, professional liability, and appellate matters.

Nicole's impressive career includes serving as a former Assistant Corporation Counsel with the New York City Office of Corporation Counsel. In this role, she successfully defended the City of New York, its composite agencies, and employees in high-exposure civil trials within the Bronx Tort Trial Unit. She attained success by securing numerous summary judgment wins, defense and directed verdicts. Her outstanding contributions have been recognized with prestigious awards, including the New York City Bar Association’s 2016 Municipal Affairs Award and the Office of Corporation Counsel’s Legal Rookie of the Year Award.

Her talents go well beyond the courtroom. Nicole is passionate about teaching and molding the next generation of lawyers. In this regard, she dedicates her time outside the office to fostering the growth of young legal talent as a volunteer mock trial coach for seventh and eighth-grade students in Bronx, NY, who participate in the annual Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition.

She also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. Nicole also serves as a member of the Grievance Committee for the Ninth Judicial District (September 2019 - Present) appointed by Past Presiding Justice of the Appellate Division, Second Department, Alan Scheinkman.
