Overview

Michelle Rodriguez is an associate attorney in WSHB's Miami office who handles insurance coverage and complex commercial litigation. She is experienced in defending first-party insurance matters, representing corporate entities in breach of contracts, and advising on statutory compliance.

Before admission to the Florida Bar, Michelle worked as a law clerk for a boutique firm specializing in civil litigation. She also served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Alicia O. Valle in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, with a focus on Labor Law.

Michelle earned her Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, in Criminal Justice from Florida International University. She was honored for her academic achievements by inclusion on the Dean’s List and membership in the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. She earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Florida International University College of Law. While in law school, Michelle served as Vice President for the FIU Law chapter of the Federal Bar Association. She also earned an Excellence in Civic Engagement Medallion of Distinction for 275 hours of pro bono work.
