Overview

Michael Swift is an associate attorney at WSHB’s Portland, Oregon, office, where he handles all facets of complex civil litigation.

He grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, and moved to Corvallis, Oregon, to attend Oregon State University, where he earned a B.A. in Philosophy. Michael then earned his J.D. from Willamette University College of Law.

Before joining WSHB, Michael practiced at two boutique business law firms, where he handled a mix of transactional and litigation matters, primarily in business, employment, and aviation law. In addition to his legal practice, he has been active in the legal community, serving on the Board of Directors for the Bridges Collaborative Care Clinic and the Multnomah Bar Association Young Lawyers Section CLE Committee.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys hiking with his dachshunds and grilling during the warmer months. He is also a former athlete who maintains a strong interest in sports law and regularly follows and writes about developments in college sports.
