Lauren Schulman is a senior associate at WSHB's office in Westport, Connecticut, and a member of the firm's national Data Privacy & Cybersecurity team. She has extensive experience in complex privacy and cybersecurity litigation, including class actions and mass arbitration related to data breaches, online tracking technologies, tech errors and omissions disputes, and claims under various privacy statutes. Additionally, she assists clients during high-pressure security incidents, coordinating responses to ransomware attacks, fraudulent wire transfers, and business email compromise incidents, while also assessing notification obligations under applicable laws.

Lauren advises clients across industries on compliance with domestic and international privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, GLBA, HIPAA, COPPA, CAN-SPAM), data-security requirements, and the uses and restrictions of artificial intelligence (AI). Before joining WSHB, Lauren gained significant litigation experience in commercial, real estate, and intellectual property matters.

She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Lauren earned her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and graduated magna cum laude from Binghamton University. She is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, and before the United States Supreme Court.
