Overview
Joel Newey is a senior associate attorney at WSHB's Portland, Oregon, office. He specializes in construction defect litigation and construction lien enforcement. He has extensive experience representing contractors, insurers, and construction professionals in complex civil litigation. Additionally, Joel handles business disputes and personal injury cases, including catastrophic injury matters. Before graduating from the evening program in law school, he worked as a longtime restaurant manager, with experience ranging from fine dining to casual, ultimately concluding that chapter of his life at the famous Portland spot, Pok Pok. While attending law school, Joel also held several legal roles, including clerking for a homeowners' association firm and advising financial planners on business succession and tax planning.
