Overview
Jeff Rowe is a partner in WSHB’s Atlanta, Georgia, and Knoxville, Tennessee, offices, where he focuses his practice on representing domestic and international insurers in complex coverage matters in state and federal court.
As a member of the firm’s London Coverage Team, Jeff assists syndicates and the insurance market with a wide variety of first-party and third-party matters. As part of his coverage practice, Jeff prepares coverage evaluations and recommendations for primary and excess carriers for both the domestic and London insurance market, handles insurance related litigation, performs detailed analysis of insurance policies, drafts in-depth coverage opinions, conducts examinations under oath, and facilitates settlements in all lines of business, including natural disasters, wind/hail, theft, arson, construction, business interruption, general liability, environmental, and appraisal.
Jeff has successfully litigated a wide variety of first-party and third-party insurance cases across the country, including the interpretation of policy provisions and exclusions, quantum disputes, allegations of breach of contract, bad faith, and other extra-contractual relief. In connection with his insurance practice, Jeff has spent time in London as a secondee with a leading Lloyd’s syndicate, where he advised its claims and legal teams on a variety of North American claims, underwriting, and regulatory issues. He regularly advises the London market in policy underwriting issues and pre-suit matters and represents their members in court.
His skills also extend to defending individuals and insureds involved in premises liability, technology, rideshare, and transportation litigation. As a result of his accomplishments, Jeff has been recognized as a Best Lawyer: Ones to Watch for his work in insurance law, commercial litigation, and personal injury defense in Atlanta, Georgia, for the years 2024 - 2026.
