Overview

Alexa Rissoff is senior counsel in the New York City office of WSHB. She has over ten years of experience in civil litigation and risk management, including general liability, premises liability, labor law, products liability, automobile liability, and property damage. Her clients include international entities, construction companies, and individuals. Alexa is well-versed in New York's upstate and downstate courts and has handled numerous depositions. She has achieved many legal victories with Motions for Summary Judgment and Motions to Dismiss, as well as in jury trials. As a result of her zealous advocacy for her clients, Alexa has also obtained several voluntary discontinuances in several cases.

Alexa graduated magna cum laude from the University at Buffalo Law School and also holds a B.A. in Spanish and Sociology from Syracuse University, where she graduated summa cum laude. She is proficient in written and conversational Spanish and is an active New York City Bar Association member. Before joining WSHB, Alexa worked as a senior staff attorney at Hartford Financial Services. In addition, she served as a tri-lead of the Professional Women's Network for the Northeast Workplace Community and was an active member of the Young Professionals Network.

In her free time, Alexa enjoys playing tennis, visiting museums, and volunteering at God's Love We Deliver.
