Meghan Dibbini, a partner in the White Plains office of Wood Smith Henning & Berman, was appointed co-chair of the Professional Liability Defense Federation's (PLDF) Young Lawyers Committee. She is also seeking election to PLDF's Board of Directors.
As co-chair, Dibbini will help create meaningful opportunities for young professionals to connect with colleagues, strengthen their skills, build confidence and become more involved in the organization. She views the position as an opportunity to support attorneys during a stage of practice that can significantly influence the direction of their careers.
"The early years of legal practice can be both demanding and formative," Dibbini said. "Access to mentors, strong professional relationships and meaningful leadership opportunities can make a lasting difference. I want emerging attorneys to feel supported, valued and empowered to become future leaders of our profession."
If elected to the Board of Directors, Dibbini would bring the perspective of the next generation of defense lawyers to PLDF's leadership. She hopes to help advance the organization's broader mission while contributing to initiatives that address the changing needs of professional liability defense practitioners.
"PLDF has created a strong community for professional liability counsel at every stage of their careers," Dibbini added. "I would welcome the opportunity to shape its future while ensuring young lawyers have a voice in that process."
