Boston, MA

Partner Meghan Dibbini will serve as a featured speaker at the 2026 Professional Liability Defense Federation (PLDF) Annual Meeting taking place September 23-25, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Boston.

The PLDF Annual Meeting brings together attorneys, claims professionals, insurers, risk managers, and industry leaders from across the country for three days of education, collaboration, and meaningful discussion focused on the evolving landscape of professional liability defense.

Meghan will present "When Advocate Becomes the Defendant: Defending Abuse of Process Claims" on Thursday, September 24, from 1:30 to 2:20 p.m. She will be joined by fellow presenters Mary Morgan of Minnesota Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company and Andrew Sayles. The session will examine the legal and practical challenges surrounding abuse of process claims brought against attorneys and provide attendees with strategies for effectively defending these increasingly complex matters.

"Abuse of process claims present unique challenges because they place attorneys in the unfamiliar position of defending their own litigation conduct," said Meghan. "I'm looking forward to discussing practical defense strategies and recent developments that can help practitioners navigate these cases with confidence."

"PLDF continues to provide one of the premier forums for advancing thought leadership in professional liability defense," said WSHB White Plains Managing Partner and incoming PLDF President, Michelle Arbitrio. "Meghan's depth of experience and practical approach make her an outstanding choice to lead this important discussion, and we are proud to see her share her insights with leaders across the industry."

WSHB is honored to support the exchange of ideas that strengthens the professional liability community and looks forward to participating in this year's conference.
