Wood Smith Henning & Berman is excited to share that New York Partner Tracy Abatemarco will be a featured speaker at the upcoming CLM Focus Conference. The conference will take place December 3-4, 2025, at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile and will include a Women's Summit and holiday party.

On Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 8:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m., Abatemarco along with fellow thought leaders Brent Stevens, Co-Founder of Consilio; Donald Orlando, Director of Litigation for Tradesman Program Managers; and Neil Katz, Co-Founder of EyeLevel.AI, will lead a roundtable discussion titled "Unmasking Fraud: How Technology is Transforming Claims Investigations."

The session will examine how the recent Tradesman's RICO lawsuit exposed large-scale insurance fraud rings, shifting the landscape for insurers, defense counsel, and claims professionals. Panelists will explore how artificial intelligence is now assisting Special Investigations Unit (SIU) in spotting fraudulent claims up to forty times faster than human review, while uncovering critical details that manual investigations often miss.

The roundtable discussion will also address secure, on-premises implementation of AI solutions designed to safeguard sensitive claims data, emerging fraud trends across industries, and how the RICO lawsuit has altered the dynamic between plaintiff and defense counsel.

"Fraud schemes have grown more sophisticated, and the insurance industry must adapt in kind," said Abatemarco. "This session will highlight how cutting-edge technology can empower SIU professionals to not only identify fraud with greater accuracy but also protect policyholders and strengthen trust in the claims process."

Founding Partner Stephen Henning commented, "We are proud to see Tracy contribute thought leadership at such a pivotal time for the insurance industry. This presentation underscores our firm's commitment to equipping insurers and businesses with the tools to navigate evolving fraud risks."

The Focus Conference brings together leading professionals in insurance, claims, and litigation management for two days of education, networking, and forward-looking dialogue on the industry's most pressing challenges.
