Wood Smith Henning & Berman is pleased to share that New York Co-Managing Partner Tracy Abatemarco will serve as a panelist at the 2026 Claims and Litigation Management (CLM) Annual Conference March 25-27 at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Florida. The panel, "Anatomy of a Fraud Case: Defense Strategies and Real-World Success," is scheduled for Thursday March 26th at 10:00 a.m. and is part of the conference's Insurance Fraud Track.

Fraudulent claims remain one of the most persistent challenges facing insurers nationwide. It drives up costs, prolongs litigation, and places increased pressure on claims-handling efficiency. This session provides an inside look at how fraud is identified, investigated, and effectively defended against. Drawing on real world examples, the four-member panel will break down the anatomy of a fraud claim from the earliest red flags through courtroom strategy, highlighting the approaches that consistently lead to favorable outcomes for insurers and their counsel.

"I'm honored to join this year's CLM faculty to help unpack the investigative tools and strategic decision points that shape fraud litigation," commented Abatemarco. "Fraud cases demand a disciplined, evidence-driven defense, and this program is designed to give attendees actionable insights they can use immediately."

Abatemarco will join three fellow industry leaders: Kirk Willis, CEO of The Willis Law Group; Jeffrey Miragliotta, Managing Partner of Kahana Feld's New York office; and Donald Orlando, Director of Litigation for Tradesman Program Manager. They will engage in a dynamic, practical discussion aimed at empowering insurers to better detect fraud trends, streamline case assessments, and build stronger defense strategies.

The CLM Annual Conference is the premier event for professionals in claims, litigation management, and insurance. The 2026 program features more than 100 sessions and draws thousands of attendees from across the country.
