Overview
Claudia K. Meijides serves as senior counsel in WSHB's Miami, Florida office. With over a decade of legal experience, Claudia brings extensive experience in civil litigation, corporate legal strategy, and risk management. Since her admission to The Florida Bar in 2018, she has built a distinguished career representing business and insurance carriers in complex litigation while providing strategic legal counsel to executive leadership on a broad range of legal and business matters.
Throughout her career, Claudia has successfully managed high-volume litigation from inception through resolution, developing litigation strategies, conducting depositions, arguing dispositive motions, negotiating favorable settlements, and participating in trial proceedings. Her experience extends beyond the courtroom, providing trusted legal counsel to corporate leadership on business operations, contract interpretation, regulatory compliance, enterprise risk management, corporate governance, and other legal issues affecting business operations.
Prior to her current role, Claudia held leadership positions supervising and mentoring teams of attorneys and paralegals, overseeing complex caseloads, reviewing legal work product, and promoting the consistent delivery of exceptional legal services. She is recognized for her analytical approach, sound judgment, practical problem-solving skills, and unwavering commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients and organization.
Claudia earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law, where she received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for her work in the Innocence Clinic and served as a member of the Race & Social Justice Law Review. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in History from the University of Florida.
