Overview
Christopher G. Brown is the managing partner of WSHB's office in Knoxville, Tennessee. A seasoned first-chair trial attorney, Chris has led jury trials in Florida, Michigan, Tennessee, and Texas. He has extensive experience in various areas of law, including automobile negligence, wrongful death, product liability, premises liability, transportation and trucking law, medical fraud and abuse, and general civil litigation.
Chris began his legal career in Miami, Florida, where he handled cases involving brain injuries, wrongful death, sexual assault, and spinal injuries that required surgery. He then transitioned to a role as a prosecutor and district attorney, serving as the lead prosecutor for major crimes, including homicide, sex crimes, human trafficking, arson, and felonious assaults.
In addition to his trial work, Chris enjoys speaking and educating others. He served as adjunct faculty at St. Thomas University School of Law teaching trial advocacy and is a certified legal education instructor who has given presentations to various companies and insurance carriers throughout the United States. Chris is also a member of the national Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Team at WSHB, where he defends state and federal enforcement actions under data privacy statutes as well as high-exposure class action and tech litigation.
Originally from Michigan, Chris is a proud Michigan State Spartan alum. Outside of work, Chris enjoys playing golf, traveling, hunting, and hiking.
