Wood Smith Henning & Berman is pleased to share that Melinda Drogseth has joined the firm's Seattle office as a partner. Drogseth brings extensive experience representing healthcare providers and businesses in complex litigation matters. Her practice encompasses healthcare litigation, medical malpractice defense, commercial and complex litigation, insurance coverage and bad faith, insurance defense, and maritime and transportation matters.

Throughout her career, Melinda has focused on defending hospitals, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in all stages of medical malpractice litigation. In addition to her litigation practice, she has advised healthcare organizations on risk management strategies and regulatory compliance issues, helping clients navigate the increasingly complex healthcare landscape.

"We are thrilled to welcome Mindy to the firm," said Managing Partner Tim Repass. "Her impressive litigation background, deep understanding of the healthcare industry, and substantial trial experience make her an outstanding addition to our Seattle office and a tremendous asset to our clients."

Drogseth earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Seattle University School of Law in 2008. Following law school, she served as a law clerk for the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal, where she gained valuable experience in international law and justice.

She subsequently spent several years as a public defender, developing extensive courtroom and trial experience while advocating for clients in complex, high-stakes matters. That foundation has informed her practical and strategic approach to litigation throughout her career.

"I am excited to join WSHB and collaborate with such a talented team of attorneys," said Drogseth. "The firm's commitment to exceptional client service and its strong national platform provide an excellent opportunity to continue serving clients facing complex litigation and regulatory challenges."

Mindy's addition further strengthens the firm's capabilities in healthcare litigation and professional liability defense while enhancing its growing presence in the Pacific Northwest.
