WSHB is proud to announce momentous victories achieved by partners Richie Singer and Kimberly Jones and senior associate Erica Pope. Richie Singer successfully argued a complex Motion for Summary Judgment concerning a coverage issue on a forced place policy. This win was followed by an unsuccessful appeal filed by the Plaintiff thanks to the strong briefing and arguments by partner Kimberly Jones. This outcome not only underscores the firm's legal prowess but also exemplifies its commitment to providing exceptional representation for clients.

The case involved a homeowner who disputed the Insurer's coverage position on exhaustion of the lender’s Policy limit. Despite the compelling arguments presented during both summary judgment and mediation, the homeowner adamantly refused to resolve and instead chose to pursue his case before the appellate court. Ultimately, the court sided with WSHB, entering a Per Curiam Affirmance (PCA) that upheld the firm’s win at the trial court on the coverage issues.

Vincent Beilman remarked on the outcome, stating, “This victory is a testament to our unwavering dedication to our clients. We are committed to not only advocating for their rights but also navigating the complexities of the legal landscape to achieve the best possible results. The court’s decision reaffirms our strategy and reinforces the importance of thorough legal analysis in these challenging cases.”

Richie Singer added, “This case highlights the importance of perseverance and strategic planning in litigation. We mapped out a strategy early in the life of the case, and never wavered. We are thrilled that our hard work has resulted in such a favorable outcome for our client.”

WSHB remains dedicated to excellence in legal representation and is proud to celebrate this achievement, reinforcing its position as a leader in the legal community.
