WSHB Co-founder and Partner is chosen for School of Transportation Faculty

Kevin Smith, Co-founder and Partner at WSHB, is scheduled to teach at the 2016 CLM Claims College to be held in Baltimore, Maryland, September 7-10. As a member of faculty for the School of Transportation, Smith will lead two courses on the first day of the conference: “Commercial Vehicle Accident Investigation” and “Commercial Vehicle Accident Investigation and Discovery Relative to Damages.”

Smith, a celebrated trial lawyer handling some of the most complex transportation cases nationally, will be imparting his knowledge for the third year in a row on the importance of investigations and discovery issues that arise in the context of commercial transportation claims.

"It is an honor to be selected again for the faculty for the School of Transportation," said Smith. "I look forward to spending time with some of the brightest minds in the industry each year."

WSHB is a platinum sponsor of this year’s Claims College. The first one was established by the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance in 2012 and enlisted some of the industry's best professionals to create and teach courses. Since its inception, hundreds of students have attended the Claims College and nearly 150 have earned their CCP (Certified Claims Professional) designation. The College kicked off with courses in three schools and has since expanded to a total of eight three-level specialty schools and two one-level schools with more on the horizon. Students must pass all three levels of a school to earn their CCP. Each level consists of pre-course reading materials, in-class instruction, group projects and an exam.
