Overview

Robert Latham is a partner in WSHB’s El Segundo office, part of the firm’s Los Angeles presence, with over 35 years of experience. He represents insurers and their insureds throughout Southern California. Bob represents insurers in litigated first and third party bad faith claim handling cases, declaratory judgment cases on coverage defenses, rescissions, and cancellations, and in lost policy matters. He has also represented reinsurers in investigating ceded claims and defending them in ceding company liquidations.

In insurance defense matters, Bob represents clients in litigated professional liability matters, defending attorneys, real estate agents and brokers, insurance agents and brokers, and commercial property managers. He also represents community treatment centers specializing in mental health and elder, dependent adult, and substance abuse care. Bob has also represented defendants in asbestos cases and public entities in wrongful death, bodily injury, and property damage cases, and in insurance disputes. He has also represented clients in corporate dissolutions, business tort and trade infringement cases, securities arbitrations, and corporate raiding cases.
