Overview

Sonia Simonson is an associate in WSHB's Concord office. Her practice focuses on civil litigation, including general liability, personal injury, premises liability, transportation, product liability, and professional liability matters.

Ms. Simonson represents insurers, businesses, and individuals in state and federal courts throughout California. She advises clients through all phases of litigation, including case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation. She works closely with insurance carriers and their insureds to develop litigation strategies, assess liability and exposure to damages, and pursue practical, cost-effective resolutions.

Ms. Simonson earned her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School, her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution from The George Washington University Law School, and her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Creighton University. She completed the Mastering the Fundamentals of Mediation program through UC Law San Francisco's Center for Negotiation and Dispute Resolution. She also served as a mediator with the Congress of Neutrals, mediating civil matters for the Contra Costa County Superior Court.

Outside the office, Ms. Simonson enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, as well as traveling.
