Overview

Malik Ramelize is a senior associate in WSHB's Boca Raton office. His practice focuses on insurance coverage and first-party defense.

He is a cum laude graduate of the University of Miami School of Law. While in law school, Malik was the proud recipient of the Thomas Ewald Award, an award given to the number one student overall in the Litigation Skills Program. He also received the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers Litigation Skills Award, served as president of the Criminal Law Society, treasurer of the Miami Law Chapter of the ACLU, and was the senator of the Student Bar Association. 

Malik's legal experience includes working as an Assistant Public Defender at the Palm Beach County Office of the Public Defender. In this position, he represented indigent clients accused of various felony and misdemeanor criminal charges, ranging from driving under the influence to drug trafficking. Malik has served as first chair counsel on dozens of jury trials, final violation of probation hearings, motion and restitution hearings, and sentencings.
