Overview
Jasmine Oliver is senior counsel in the Orlando, Florida office of WSHB. She brings extensive experience to the firm’s civil litigation practice, with a particular emphasis on construction defect defense.
A native of Tarpon Springs, Florida, Jasmine earned her J.D. from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law and graduated cum laude with a B.A. in English from the University of South Florida. She began her legal career as a staff attorney for Circuit Court Judges in South Georgia and Polk County, Florida. Driven by a passion for indigent defense, she went on to serve as an Assistant Public Defender and Assistant Capital Collateral Regional Counsel, representing clients in matters ranging from minor traffic offenses to post-conviction relief for those sentenced to death. Jasmine later transitioned to civil litigation, focusing her practice on construction defect cases.
She is an inductee of the National Order of Scribes and authored "Systematic Discrimination of the Color of Law: In Foster v. Chatman, the Supreme Court Strikes Back Prosecutorial Misuse of Peremptory Challenges," published in the Southern Journal of Policy and Justice.
