Overview
Japreena Kaur is a senior associate at WSHB’s White Plains office, where she specializes in employment and professional liability matters.
Japreena represents employers and other clients in employment-related litigation, including claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and a wide range of workplace disputes. She is experienced in all phases of litigation, from pleadings and discovery to depositions, dispositive motions, conferences, hearings, and settlement negotiations.
Before joining WSHB, Japreena handled a broad spectrum of civil litigation matters, including professional liability, premises liability, transportation, and Labor Law claims. Earlier in her career, she represented employees in complex plaintiff-side employment litigation involving discrimination and harassment. Her work on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants provides her with a comprehensive perspective on employment litigation and the legal process.
Japreena earned her Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School, where she was a member of the Mock Trial team and served as Assistant Director of the Immigration Clinic with the Tulane Legal Assistance Program. She graduated cum laude from Tulane University with dual degrees in Political Science and Sociology.
She is admitted to practice in New York and before the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. Japreena also speaks conversational Spanish and Punjabi.
