Overview
Erin Hemme is senior counsel at WSHB’s New York City office, where she focuses her practice on complex civil litigation. She has extensive experience handling high-exposure matters, including New York labor law, general liability, and premises liability matters.
Clients benefit from her representation at all stages of litigation, from initial investigation and discovery through trial preparation and resolution. Adept at managing motions, depositions, mediations, status conferences, pre-trial conferences, and settlement negotiations, she is recognized for thorough legal research, persuasive motion practice, and detailed analysis of insurance coverage issues.
Erin earned her J.D. from Albany Law School of Union University, where she actively participated in moot court competitions and was the Vice President of the Outdoor Club. She also took part in the Family Violence Litigation Clinic, where she advocated for victims of family violence in the courtroom as well as by motion practice. During her time at Albany Law, she interned at the District Attorneys’ Office at Westchester County and Albany County, as well as at a defense medical malpractice firm. She received her B.S.L.S. from Quinnipiac University, graduating cum laude.
