Overview

David Rubaum is a partner in WSHB’s Los Angeles office. With over 25 years of experience, David’s practice centers on complex civil litigation, including professional malpractice, employment litigation, and dependent adult and elder abuse.

Mr. Rubaum earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from San Diego State University and his Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University. He held a judicial externship with the Honorable Charles W. McCoy, Jr. and since that time has enjoyed a varied litigation practice. He first joined a small litigation firm in Los Angeles practicing patent and trademark litigation. He left to join a prominent defense firm in Manhattan Beach, California where he focused on all forms of professional malpractice and insurance bad faith defense where he became a partner. He later joined a boutique litigation firm practicing business, employment, construction defect and real estate litigation. After concluding that professional liability and other types of defense work was his calling, he rejoined his old firm in Manhattan Beach as a partner and then moved with part of the firm to El Segundo, where he enjoyed a varied practice of professional negligence, general liability and related matters.

Outside of the practice of law, David loves to cook, eat and share meals with family and friends. He also enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, mountain biking and skiing.
