Overview
Ariana Gibbs is a senior associate at WSHB's Atlanta, Georgia office, handling insurance coverage and complex civil litigation. Ariana is a dedicated and skilled attorney with a background in litigation, negotiation, and effective resolution.
She has established a solid reputation for her trial skills and courtroom advocacy. She is frequently called upon to handle personal injury cases and various liability issues, including wrongful death, general negligence, and premises liability. Ariana has served as a second chair in numerous jury and bench trials, and she has developed a successful motion practice, advocating effectively for her clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
In addition to litigation, Ariana is an active member of the Mississippi Bar. She is a member of the Charles Clark Chapter of America Inns of Court and the 2024-2025 Mississippi Bar Association Leadership class. Ariana is also service-oriented. She is a member of the Junior League and its Leadership Program.
Born and raised in Jackson, MS, Ariana graduated cum laude from Spelman College in Atlanta, earning a B.A. in English. At Spelman, Ariana developed her skill set in critical thinking, analysis, and clear communication. There, she joined the Mu Pi chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, served as a Spelman Ambassador, a Writing Center tutor, and was a member of the P.U.L.S.E. Programming Board. Ariana was also inducted into the Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society and the Ethel Waddell Githii Honors Program.
After college, Ariana obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where she distinguished herself both academically and professionally. She was a member of the Moot Court Board and was named the Champion of the Copeland, Cook, Taylor & Bush competition. Ariana also served as Senior Editor of the Southern Journal for Policy & Justice and was inducted into the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society.
