Overview
Antoinette Mederos is a Senior Associate in WSHB's Miami office, specializing in civil litigation with a focus on general liability. Drawing on her prior experience representing insureds in first-party property litigation, Ms. Mederos brings a unique perspective to case evaluation, litigation strategy, and dispute resolution. She has extensive courtroom experience, handling matters from inception through trial, including motion practice, depositions, and jury trials throughout Florida.
Antoinette earned her Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law. During her time at St. Thomas, Antoinette served as the President of the St. Thomas University Moot Court Board and as an Articles Editor for the St. Thomas University Law Review. In recognition of her advocacy skills, she received the Moot Court Best Advocacy Award in 2018 and was inducted into the Order of Barristers. She was also named to the Dean’s List on multiple occasions throughout law school. Antoinette also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Criminology from the University of South Florida.
While attending law school, Antoinette interned at the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office, where she had the opportunity to present oral argument before Florida’s Third District Court of Appeal. Antoinette also completed pro bono service through a judicial internship with the Honorable Peter R. Lopez in the Eleventh Circuit Court in Miami, Florida.
Outside of her legal practice, Antoinette has a strong interest in winemaking and wine education. She has earned the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 1 Award in Wines and is currently pursuing additional WSET certifications as part of her continued personal development.
Antoinette is currently admitted to practice in all Florida state courts and is natively fluent in English and Spanish.
