Overview
Aaron Ochoa is a Senior Associate Attorney in the Rio Grande Valley office of WSHB, where he handles all facets of complex civil litigation.
Born in Miguel Alemán, Tamaulipas, Mexico, and raised in Roma, Texas, Mr. Ochoa brings a deep connection to the community he serves. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas–Pan American, now UTRGV. While completing his studies, he spent a decade with the Starr County Sheriff’s Office as both a patrolman and criminal investigator, where he handled matters ranging from simple theft to robbery and homicide investigations.
After completing his undergraduate studies, Mr. Ochoa earned his Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, concentrating on trial advocacy. Following licensure, he joined the Hidalgo County District Attorney’s Office, where he gained extensive courtroom experience and tried numerous cases. He later served as a trial attorney, trying many matters and developing focused experience in motor vehicle collision litigation. During that time, he also obtained his Texas Commercial Driver License, further informing his understanding of transportation-related issues.
Mr. Ochoa is fluent in Spanish and English and enjoys traveling with his family.
