An experienced litigator with a national practice, Murphy handles complex first-party property, large market/large loss, litigation and, liability coverage disputes as well as high stakes arbitration. She regularly serves as lead trial counsel and as a party arbitrator, advising clients on all aspects of insurance and reinsurance both domestically and internationally.

Her experience includes guiding clients through complex claims involving catastrophic loss and business income interruption arising from hurricanes, tornadoes, hail, flooding, fire, and other natural disasters. She also advises on energy, mining and boiler/machinery claims as well as builder's risk matters. Her knowledge of geotechnical issues is often pivotal in disputes involving faulty design, materials, or construction. In addition, she has served as an arbitrator in high-value matters, including coverage disputes stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, hail losses and a variety of other first party coverage related disputes.
