Wood Smith Henning & Berman is thrilled to share that Neely Fortinberry has joined the firm as a partner in the Dallas office, bringing decades of frontline experience and a formidable courtroom presence to the firm's Texas litigation team.

Known for her confidence before juries and command of the courtroom, she is well versed in handling cases at every stage of litigation, from initial pleadings through trial. Her background includes managing a high-volume litigation practice involving hundreds of small to medium-sized matters simultaneously, while also serving as lead counsel in complex, high-exposure cases.

"I've spent my career in the courtroom, and I still believe that the best results come from being fully prepared to try every case," said Fortinberry.  "I'm looking forward to joining WSHB, a firm that values rigorous defense work, strategic thinking, and client service. I look forward to helping our clients navigate complex litigation and putting them in the strongest position possible, whether at trial or at the negotiating table."

Throughout her career, Fortinberry has defended a wide range of matters, including catastrophic injury and fatality cases, dangerous and defective product claims, trucking litigation, and multi-party personal injury disputed. She also brings substantial experience in first-party insurance litigation and has a deep understanding of the strategic and evidentiary challenges unique to high-stakes injury cases. Regardless of case size or complexity, she is known for her willingness to fully prepare each matter to deliver the strongest possible defense for her clients.

Prior to joining the firm, Fortinberry also defended civil RICO actions throughout New York, further highlighting her breadth of experience in complex, multi-faceted litigation involving sophisticated legal and factual issues.

"Neely is a proven trial lawyer with extraordinary courtroom experience and a tireless work ethic," remarked Dallas Managing Partner Christine Atwood. "Her ability to manage both volume litigation and high-stakes catastrophic  cases make her a tremendous asset to our Dallas office and to clients facing their most challenging disputes."

Fortinberry's arrival reflects WSHB's continued commitment to expanding its trial capabilities in Texas and strengthening its defense of complex personal injury, insurance, and catastrophic loss matters across the region and beyond.
