"It’s a great location in the West Loop area in downtown Chicago, close to many of our local clients and within walking distance to the courthouse," said Craig Derrig, managing partner of the Firm’s first Midwest office. "Cook County is a hotbed of litigation and clients had consistently asked us to be in this market, that’s why we opened here in late 2016. We’re happy to say we outgrew our first office because of the sheer volume of activity."
Led by Derrig, a nationally regarded civil litigator, the Midwest office bridges a gap for WSHB from the two coasts, being the only office between Atlanta, Philadelphia and Denver. The full service office, one of 22 WSHB offices in the United States, handles everything from coverage cases to large catastrophic litigation cases.
A former Division l scholarship baseball player from Illinois State University, Derrig has 16 years of litigation experience in Chicago. He represents some of the world’s largest insurance carriers, Fortune 500 companies, architects, engineers, medical professionals, contractors, public entities and regional and local businesses.
