Overview

John Darminio is senior counsel in WSHB’s White Plains office, where he focuses his practice on professional liability, employment practices and and New York Labor Law matters. He also handles cybersecurity and data privacy matters, including breach response cases, state/federal enforcement of data privacy statutes, and review of information transfer agreements.

Prior to joining the firm, John’s experience included the defense of internet and mobile marketing companies in actions involving the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991, the CAN-SPAM Act, state and federal regulatory matters, general commercial litigation, trademark registration and maintenance, consumer class action matters, insurance coverage and risk transfer, large exposure, catastrophe and event response, and tort defense. He has extensive experience in all phases of litigation and alternative dispute resolution.

John is a graduate of Pace University School of Law. While in law school, he served as an Articles Editor for the Pace Environmental Law Review. John received his undergraduate degree in Political Science, with a minor in Journalism, from Stony Brook University. He is a member of the New York State Bar and admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, and Eastern District of New York.
