Mark Twain is credited with the statement, "There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics."  As residential developments become larger and more complex, plaintiffs’ attorneys have increasingly relied on statistical extrapolation to quantify the number of defective locations at a project and to support expansive costs of repair and claims for damages that include areas of a project that have never been inspected or tested.
