Overview

Veena Bhatia is an associate in WSHB’s Northern California office, where she focuses on complex civil litigation. Ms. Bhatia assists on a variety of matters, zealously advocating on behalf of her clients. Truly versatile, her litigation success includes environmental torts, product liability, mass torts, wrongful death, and elder abuse.

Ms. Bhatia is a graduate of the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. While at UC Hastings, Ms. Bhatia earned a CALI Excellence for the Future Award and Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Legal Research and Writing. She also published an article on Indian family law in the Domestic Violence Report, Civic Research Institute. Her article was republished in Family & Intimate Partner Violence Quarterly, Civic Research Institute. Additionally, Ms. Bhatia worked as a law clerk at a litigation firm while attending law school.

Prior to law school, she worked at two prominent litigation firms. She held coveted internships at several governmental agencies at the local, state, and federal levels, including the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, California Department of Justice, and the United States Department of Justice.

Ms. Bhatia received her B.A. in Legal Studies and a B.A. in Political Science with honors from the University of California, Berkeley.
