Octavious Buiey, Jr. is an associate attorney in WSHB’s Miami office, where his practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, insurance coverage litigation, and pre-litigation claims.
Octavious earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law. While attending law school, Octavious served as the Articles & Comments Editor for the Inter-American Law Review and as President of the Student Bar Association. Additionally, in his time at the University of Miami he served as the school’s representative to the American Bar Association and was an active member of the Black Law Student’s Association. He also interned with the University of Miami’s Children and Youth Law Clinic, where he represented children in the foster care system in dependency and immigration matters.
He received his undergraduate degree cum laude in Political Science and African American Studies from the University of Florida. As an undergrad, Octavious served as the Diversity Affairs Executive in Student Government and on the Student Senate as a Diversity Outreach Chair. He is also a member of Florida Blue Key.
