Overview
Nina Garcia is a Senior Associate in WSHB’s Las Vegas office. A dynamic litigator, Nina has experience spanning complex, high-stakes civil litigation and criminal matters. Her practice has involved nuanced legal issues, expedited proceedings, and disputes carrying significant reputational and financial exposure. Nina brings a thoughtful and tenacious approach to advocacy throughout all phases of litigation for her clients, from the earliest stages of strategic case development, through motion practice, and even appellate briefing. Her multidisciplinary professional background predating her legal career gives her a practical, business-oriented perspective that enhances the representation she provides both in and out of the courtroom.
A Las Vegas native, Nina worked in human resources and business operations for Fortune 500 and nationally recognized companies prior to entering the practice of law, where she supported executive-level business development and workforce initiatives. That experience continues to shape her pragmatic approach to legal strategy, particularly in matters involving operational risks, workplace issues, and high-exposure disputes.
Nina earned her J.D. from the William S. Boyd School of Law, where she completed a concentration in Workplace Law and distinguished herself through leadership, advocacy, and public service. During law school, she held numerous leadership positions within student and professional organizations, served on the editorial board of the Nevada Gaming Law Journal, taught legal education courses to the public, and participated in competitive advocacy programs, including moot court and client counseling competitions. Her commitment to service and leadership was recognized through multiple honors and awards, including distinctions for Community Service Student of the Year, Leader of the Year, and Highest Pro Bono Honors upon graduation.
In addition to her litigation experience in private practice, Nina served as a judicial law clerk within Nevada’s Eighth Judicial District Court, where she worked extensively on both civil and criminal matters and assisted with judicial motion analysis, legal research, and case management in a high-volume court setting. Her background also includes work with public-sector and public-interest organizations, further broadening her perspective across a wide range of litigation and dispute-resolution matters.
Outside of her practice, Nina remains actively involved in volunteer and mentorship initiatives focused on future attorneys, children, education, and community engagement. She has maintained a longstanding commitment to service throughout both her academic and professional careers.
