Overview
Nicholas Ravinet is a senior associate at WSHB’s Tampa office where he litigates a wide range of civil matters in state and federal courts throughout Florida. His practice includes representing businesses and individuals in complex torts, product liability, and other general liability matters. Nick has represented Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, professionals, government agencies, and medical providers in wrongful death, product liability, professional liability, construction defect, premises liability, and trucking accidents. He has tried numerous jury trials while serving as an Assistant Public Defender, where he defended indigent clients against accusations of felony and misdemeanor offenses.
Nick earned his law degree from Florida State University College of Law. While in law school, he served as a judicial intern for the Honorable William A. Van Nortwick of the First District Court of Appeal. Nick was also a law clerk at the Office of the Attorney General in Tallahassee, Florida, where he worked with the Assistant Attorney General to address the then-ongoing foreclosure crisis. Additionally, he was elected as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Land Use and Environmental Law, a scholarly journal focused on the policy implications of alternative energy development, community planning, and growth management. Nick was also a participating member of the law school’s Business Review and Journal of Transnational Law & Policy.
