Overview
Laura Bown is an associate at WSHB’s Las Vegas office, where she handles a wide variety of complex civil litigation including transportation, catastrophic injury and construction defect matters.
She was born in Maui, Hawaii, spent some time in Salt Lake City, Utah and moved to Las Vegas in 2001. She attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas to pursue her undergraduate degree in Political Science. Laura was a member of Phi Alpha Delta, a pre-law Fraternity. She graduated from UNLV with honors and was on the Dean’s list.
Laura pursued her law degree at William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV on an academic scholarship. While attending law school, Laura worked as an intern at Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada in the Children’s Attorney Project, which provides representation for abused and neglected children. Laura also interned at a boutique estate planning and probate law firm, where she continued to work after earning her law degree. While attending law school, she served as a community chair for the Organization of Women Law Students, where she promoted the success of women in the legal profession.
Laura is a certified mediator and has experience with transactional areas of law.
During her free time, Laura enjoys spending time with her family, practicing Pilates + Barre, and exploring the city.
