WSHB Partner to share change order expertise with Southern California Chapter

WSHB's Keith Smith is scheduled to lead a legal seminar titled, “Change Order Notice and Content Requirements,” on Thursday, September 15, 2016, for the Southern California Chapter of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) at the Marriott in Riverside, California.

This September’s seminar is scheduled to cover the following issues: changed conditions provisions of industry contracts, alternative provisions, waiver for failure to strictly comply, arguments against waiver, public vs. private projects, and California and federal case law.

Smith, a partner in WSHB’s Riverside office, specializes in construction litigation and risk management. He regularly represents public entity owners, residential and commercial builders, private owners, and design professionals in complex construction law matters involving payment disputes, mechanic’s liens, stop notices, bond claims, construction defects, delay, acceleration and inefficiency claims, extra work, differing site, changed condition and change order claims, construction site injuries, bid protests, debarment proceedings and False Claims Act disputes.
