Veronica Pakit is an associate at WSHB’s New Jersey office where she handles complex civil litigation, catastrophic injury, environmental and toxic tort issues. In addition, Veronica enjoys extensive experience handling employment and labor law cases. Her prior experience includes clerking for the Honorable J. Randall Corman, J.S.C. where she drafted opinions and bench memoranda for civil and special civil matters. Additionally, Veronica mediated small claims and landlord/tenant matters, which gave her insight into negotiation strategies and efficiently managing a large and diversified caseload.
Veronica earned her way through law school as a police dispatcher and emergency medical technician for over a decade, gaining valuable medical and investigative skills which she utilizes for her municipal and catastrophic injury/medical malpractice clients. Veronica is licensed to practice law in New Jersey and New York, as well as the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
She graduated from Rutgers Law School, where Veronica was elected as the student leader for the Volunteer Lawyers for Justice Child Support Pro Bono program and a volunteer for the LGBTQ+ pro bono program where she actively participated as legal counsel. Veronica was also chosen for the Rutgers Law team in the International Chamber of Commerce’s Commercial Law Mediation Competition in Paris, France. She was the elected representative for the Evening Student Association, and worked for a semester as a part-time law clerk. Veronica earned her undergraduate degree in Public Health from the Edward J. Bloustein School of Public Health located within Rutgers University. When not actively defending firm clients, Veronica enjoys rock climbing and sky diving.
