Thomas Holmgren’s practice focuses on construction, labor law, and complex general liability litigation. His experience includes litigating general liability, premises liability, and automotive cases throughout New York from inception to the point of trial.
A graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law, Thomas served as a student attorney for both the criminal and transactional clinics, representing the interests of underserved members of the community. Additionally, he competed in seven national mock trials, Moot Court, and negotiation competitions, where he had the opportunity to argue in front of a number of circuit judges.
Thomas also received a dual degree from Hartwick College, earning a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Sociology and another in Philosophy with a minor in Criminology. At the same time, he was a four-year member of the football team.
Aside from serving as a Marshall Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project coach (a national program promoting constitutional literacy and teaching legal advocacy to high school students), Thomas performed more than 100 hours of pro bono service while in law school. He has continued his commitment to impactful community service after admission to the bar, repressing indigent defendants in criminal matters, including taking a case to jury verdict and briefing a comprehensive CPL § 440 motion for post-conviction relief.
Outside the office, Thomas is a sports and comedy enthusiast.
