Kirsten is senior counsel in the Orange County office of WSHB. Her practice is focused on the defense of complex civil litigation actions involving matters that include high exposure catastrophic injury and wrongful death. With an emphasis on medical malpractice, Kirsten specializes in defending health care professionals of all specialties, including hospitals, physicians, nurses, mental health providers, skilled nursing facilities, residential care facilities, assisted living facilities and home health care providers. Kirsten also has significant experience handling professional liability, transportation litigation, premises liability, sexual misconduct, and general liability cases. Kirsten is a fierce advocate for clients and aggressively represents their interests in sensitive matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Kirsten began her career at a trial law firm in Boston, where she was first introduced to medical malpractice, general liability, and mass toxic tort litigation involving claims of injury due to asbestos exposure. Kirsten graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Irvine, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in Spanish. She received her Juris Doctorate from Boston University School of Law, with a concentration in Litigation and Dispute Resolution. Prior to law school, Kirsten’s passion for the law began at the Legal Aid Society of Orange County, where she assisted low-income litigants with small claims matters, uncontested divorce and paternity petitions, and the Lawyer Referral Service.
