Overview

Jenny Silverstein is a senior associate in WSHB's Northern California office whose practice includes the defense of complex torts, medical malpractice and construction matters.

Ms. Silverstein has successfully defended cases involving catastrophic motor vehicle and trucking accidents resulting in death or traumatic brain injury, subrogation, products liability, wrongful death, landlord-tenant, medical malpractice, professional liability and public entities.

She has prepared appellate briefs before the California Court of Appeal, prepared and argued numerous motions including Motions for Summary Judgment, Anti-SLAAP motions, Demurrers and Motions for Summary Adjudication. She has also prepared for and assisted at arbitration and trial including Motions in Limine, Voir Dire, and direct and cross-examinations.

A Bay Area native, Jenny briefly lived in Southern California when she obtained her undergraduate degree in Latin American Studies from Scripps College in Claremont. She then obtained her paralegal certificate from St. Mary’s College of California. Using her paralegal certificate, Ms. Silverstein put herself through John F. Kennedy University Juris Doctor’s evening program while working during the day as a paralegal in the construction defect unit of a major insurance company.

Ms. Silverstein is bilingual in English and Spanish and has lived in Ecuador, Paraguay, Mexico, Argentina and Spain. She is an avid knitter, and also enjoys traveling with her husband, being an aunt to her nephews, and a mom to her Boston Terrier and Pug.
