Bio

Erin Peters is a senior associate in WSHB’s New Jersey office. Her practice focuses on complex tort and casualty, employment claims and litigation, insurance coverage, medical malpractice and healthcare and law, product liability, and professional liability. She is also well-versed in consumer fraud and alter ego liability, as well as claims made by condominium and homeowner associations that are subject to the New Jersey Condominium Act and the Planned Real Estate Development Full Disclosure Act (PREDFDA).

In her practice, Erin has successfully defended clients in a host of wide-ranging matters. Notably, she defended the matter of Dunkley v. Coraluzzo Petroleum Transporters, 441 N.J. Super. 325 (App. Div. 2015), an employment case that resulted in published opinions affirming summary judgment in her client’s favor. As a result of her work on the Dunkley matter, Erin was invited to be a panelist for the Employment Law Roundtable program which is held for attorneys as part of their continuing education. She has also successfully opposed an interlocutory appeal concerning the dismissal of a novel claim for loss of parental consortium in a medical malpractice case.

Erin attended New England Law in Boston, Massachusetts. While there, Erin was selected for an honors judicial clerkship to the Honorable Barry P. Sarkisian, J.S.C. (Ret.), in the New Jersey Superior Court’s Law Division, following an internship with the Honorable Thomas E. Connolly (Ret). Erin was also chosen as a third-year intern with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office, and worked as a law clerk for a local civil litigator. She earned her undergraduate degree in Crime, Law, and Justice, with minors in English and Sociology from Pennsylvania State University.
