Overview

Alexandra Cumella is a partner at WSHB's White Plains office. In her practice with the firm, she specializes in professional liability and employment practices liability claims. In her role as employment counsel, she represents employers that are subject to suit by employees for harassment and discrimination in the workplace, including violations of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the ADA, ADEA, wage and hour claims.

In addition, Alexandra represents paratransit/non-emergent medical transportation companies in a variety of areas. She also offers guidance to our national insurance coverage practice by advising and representing domestic and international insurers on first-party property claims (Homeowner’s and Commercial), commercial general liability, construction defect, and professional errors and omission claims. Alexandra has effectively litigated a wide range of first-party and third-party insurance cases, including policy provisions and exclusions.

Alexandra earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education from Seton Hall University and her Juris Doctor from Pace University School of Law. Before joining our team at WSHB, Alexandra gained experience in private practice work, concentrating on complex civil litigation in civil rights and catastrophic injury matters. She is a member of the New York State Bar, New Jersey State Bar, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
