Alexandra Cumella is a partner in WSHB’s White Plains office, where she focuses her practice on professional liability matters and employment practices liability claims. She also has extensive experience defending large loss exposures in litigated matters involving emergency and non-emergency medical transportation (“NEMT”) vehicles in NY and CT. She regularly engages in preventive counseling for trucking and transportation clients regarding changes in federal regulations, state law and industry practices, as well as risk management and claims handling practices.

Alexandra also assists our national insurance coverage practice by advising and representing domestic and international insurers on first-party property (Homeowner’s and Commercial), commercial general liability, construction defect, and professional errors and omission claims. She has successfully litigated a wide variety of first-party and third-party insurance cases, including the interpretation of policy provisions and exclusions.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education from Seton Hall University and her Juris Doctor from Pace University School of Law. Prior to joining the firm, Alexandra’s experience included private practice work, focusing on complex civil litigation in civil rights and catastrophic injury matters. Alexandra is a member of the New York State Bar, New Jersey State Bar, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
