WSHB’s Graham Miller Helps Demystify Construction Claims in the Pacific Northwest

September 11, 2019

(San Diego, CA) WSHB’s Portland based partner, Graham Miller, takes to the stage for CLM’s Construction Conference where he will host a panel on “Demystifying Construction Claims in the Pacific Northwest.” Drawing upon his ten years of construction litigation experience, Miller will discuss how to navigate construction plans and how to properly implement them into the litigation process.

Miller, one of the leading construction lawyers in the Pacific Northwest, will be leading a panel on the hot issue of utilizing construction plans in today’s litigation environment. “Given the advent of BIM technology, design-build and other technological advances, there are challenges for the trier of fact which we will tackle head on and provide sage practice pointers,” said Miller, managing partner of Wood Smith Henning & Berman’s Oregon office. “The attendee will take away a better understanding of the current technological advances, key issues to focus on in terms of underlying plans and strategies for defending complex construction claims.”

Miller will be joined by construction industry veterans Nate MacIntyre (MC Consultants, Inc.), Lorraine Merritt (Claims Resource Management, Inc.), Mary Ann Vorndran (Hartford), and fellow attorney William Cornell. This can’t miss presentation will be held at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 4:00 p.m.

The CLM Construction Conference is an annual convention offering interactive educational sessions and seminars with the construction industry’s best and brightest. This year’s conference panels cover all aspects of insurance, risk, and claims management of the insurance related to the construction industry. Also covered are the many facets of construction site accidents/injuries, coverage issues, subcontractor issues, risk management, and new technologies on national, regional, and state levels. This year’s conference spans three days, from Wednesday, September 25 to Friday, September 27, 2019. WSHB is proud to be an Emerald conference sponsor.

A trial and litigation attorney, Graham Miller represents clients in complex commercial, business, and financial litigation matters, in addition to professional liability, employment, catastrophic injury, transportation, railroad and construction litigation matters. He is admitted to practice in Oregon and California.
