Prestigious Nomination for Dominic Ripoli

(Los Angeles, CA). WSHB is proud to announce that Dominic Ripoli, Associate – Northern California, has been nominated for a California Cannabis Award, in the category of “Lawyer of the Year.”

A thought leader in the Cannabis legal world, Ripoli is the recipient of many accolades and is particularly well known for his passion for equity programs being rolled out by public entities. He is respected for his legal work and results helping cannabis companies establish business, navigate regulations and blaze new territory for this emerging industry.

“There is no secret, I believe equity programs are a powerful way to help those less fortunate by giving pathways for success in developing businesses and income streams in the areas of great need,” said Ripoli. “At the same time, as a litigator, we see many perils and pitfalls which can be avoided with sage legal guidance and it is personally rewarding to see this all come into fruition in the cannabis space.”

With over 24,000+ unique nomination submissions across 18 different award categories, Dominic stood out among the rest. Individual nominees were vetted over a three week long period, with the ultimate winner being announced on September 29, 2019

“Dominic is already a winner for being included as a finalist for this award. We are really proud of Dominic’s hard work that has been recognized in the cannabis space,” said Stephen Henning, one of the firm’s founding partners. “His legal mind coupled with his passion is huge, he is a valuable resource for cannabis clients not only in California, but throughout the nation.”

“Dominic has been at the forefront of navigating the numerous regulations and equity licensing programs throughout the state of California,” said WSHB Partner Kevin Gillispie. “This, in combination with WSHB’s established business group, has helped make Dominic the authority on assisting new cannabis-based businesses in succeeding in an increasingly complex market.”

Winners in all categories will be announced at the 2019 California Cannabis Awards Ceremony at The Novo Theater at LA Live in Downtown Los Angeles on September 29, 2019.

The annual California Cannabis Awards is a high-end event geared towards nominating and awarding the top companies, entrepreneurs and advocates in the industry. Featuring 17 award categories, the CCA’s are focused on segments that make up the cannabis industry. The California Cannabis Awards are a great place to enjoy networking with cannabis entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and brands in the heart of Los Angeles.
