Death With Dignity: The Future Impact on Litigation

March 1, 2017

Constance Endelicato, partner at WSHB, will moderate a Death with Dignity session at the Crittenden Medical Insurance Conference, at the Mandarin Oriental, Miami on April 3, 2017. One of the nation’s most acclaimed lawyers handling medical negligence matters, Ms. Endelicato is undefeated in over 60 trials. Joining Ms. Endelicato at the session titled, “Death with Dignity – An Analysis of the Future Impact on Litigation” is Gina Harris, ProAssurance Casualty, and Geri Luebeck, Providence Saint John’s Health Center.

It’s expected that the following issues will be discussed: the difference between recent legislation versus advance directives, the strict requirements to qualify and to participate in those states with
death with dignity legislation, the responsibility of the provider and the ability to opt out, and the potential for litigation as a result of death with dignity legislation.

Ms. Endelicato has over 25 years of litigation experience defending healthcare professionals. She is a member of the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates. Ms. Endelicato has earned the recognition of Super Lawyer in Southern California and in Orange County from 2010-2017 and has been recognized by Los Angeles Magazine as one of the Top Women Attorneys in Southern California.
